26 april 2016

The Inter-sectorial Work Group on import substitution in the fuel and energy complex (FEC) chaired by Denis Manturov (Minister of Industry & Trade) met on the sidelines of the 3rd National Oil and Gas Forum in Moscow to discuss developments in oil & gas equipment industry, review reports regarding the status of projects already supported by the government and prospective production of import-substituting equipment highly demanded by the oil & gas industry. The Krylov State Research Centre was represented by Director General Vladimir Nikitin.

WG also considered proposals of companies regarding state support stimuli to promote deliveries of home-made products to the Russian and foreign oil & gas customers.

On 29 January 2015 the Minpromtorg set up the Scientific & Technical Council on oil and gas equipment for efficient management of priority import substitution tasks. Eleven expert groups were formed within the Council to focus on the priority technology fields. The Krylov State Research Centre is the general integrator of the expert group Technologies and Equipment for Offshore Projects, which is covering nine specific areas ranging from supply ships through seismic equipment to offshore aircraft.

WG has generated a plan of activities for further checkup and elaboration.
