Cooperation agreement between Krylov Centre and Gorelectrotrans

30 may 2016

Cooperation agreement concerning the use of hydrogen battery as a power supply for urban electric transport between the Krylov State Research Centre and SUE «Gorelectrotrans» was signed on May 27, 2016 during International innovative forum of public transport «SmartTRANSPORT».

The agreement refers to 5 kW hydrogen-based battery developed by Krylov’s affiliated branch TSNII SET. As long as water is the only waste product of this power supply, the environmental impact is reduced to zero, meeting the priority requirements for advanced transport systems.

Implementation of new technology will contribute to the improvement on urban environment and to the enhancement of transport reliability, and will make it possible to reduce transportation cost due to high-performance capabilities of fuel cell. 0% pollutant emission, 50–60% efficiency, silent operation and wear-resistance are the main advantages of the new battery.
